Beginning the Adventure in Germany

Our two week adventure in Europe began in Munich. We landed around 7:30am and headed to Oktoberfest immediately! After standing in the rain for the opening parade, jet lagged and exhausted, we found a table in the beer garden at Hofbrau, beginning one of the best parties I’ve ever attended. Over the next four days we drank too many liters of beer to count, explored Munich on foot (over 12 miles walking one day), and danced the night away on benches in the Marstall tent. Munich was a clean, beautiful city with a deep history. We will be back.
